Alex has excelled at high levels in baseball and track and field. As an outfielder, he received several invitations to NCAA Division 1 scouting camps including the University of Florida. Alex was an all-star centre fielder and pitcher for the YSBA champion Newmarket Hawks and Aurora Jays AAA baseball teams. At Cardinal Carter CHS, Alex captured the YRAA and Central Ontario javelin throw titles every year he competed and helped the Celtics win five consecutive YRAA Outdoor Track and Field championships. As a javelin thrower, Alex earned a scholarship to Graceland University (Iowa, USA) where he was a 2-time Academic All-American, 3-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Champion, and a 4-time NAIA National Championship Qualifier in the javelin throw. Alex achieved a top 8 finish at the Canadian National Track and Field Championships in 2009 and was the Senior Men’s Provincial Champion in 2013.

As a certified strength and conditioning specialist, Alex has the ability to train clients one-on-one, semi-private, and small or large groups, including sports teams. Alex has proven skills in weight loss training, athletic performance training, TRX suspension training, kettle bell training, dynamic fluid resistance training, inversion training, nutrition, flexibility, and mobility. Alex believes in quality movement over quantity. His training methods teach his clients to move well and then move often. Through educating and exposing his clients to a broad spectrum of movements and exercises, not only do they achieve their fitness goals, they also learn to move more efficiently, execute proper exercise technique, experience an increase in mobility in problem areas, and avoid hitting plateaus during their fitness journey.
